Huh? Simply put, energy and mass are interchangeable. Therefore, mass is a form of energy. The more solid the mass, the lower the energetic vibration. The higher the energetic vibration, the less solid the mass. For example, plants, animals, cars, furniture, people are all solid energy forms. Electricity, radio waves, x-rays are all forms of non-solid energy. The important thing to understand is that everything is energy. Energy cannot be created, nor can it be destroyed. It can only be converted. Take a wooden chair for example. In the beginning, the chair was a living, vibrant tree. The tree is then made into a solid mass chair. Once the chair is no longer useful, it is burned for firewood, converting the chair into fire and then to ashes. The ashes are then mingled again with the earth, providing a place for another sprout to grow that will eventually turn into a tree. Our bodies are beautiful, brilliant energy systems. Our circulatory system, our skeletal system, and our respiratory system are examples of solid mass systems. But we also have non-solid energy systems that make up our bodies as well. The aura, the chakras and the meridians are three of these systems. Everything we are, do and think is energy. Our thoughts, emotions and physical interactions with our environment impact our energy body as well as our physical body. Our bodies are adaptable, as evidenced by the fact that human beings have been on earth for millions of years. But, since industrialization began in the 19th century, our bodies have had to adapt to an ever increasing onslaught of new and harmful environments. Ingesting pesticides and processed foods, pollution, and daily use of electronics are all conditions that contribute to the demand for the body’s natural energy systems to continually work to fend off and adapt to harmful elements. Combine that with the emotional and mental strain of trying to keep up with our high-speed society, and it’s no wonder many of us are suffering from exhaustion and dis-ease. There is also a Universal life force that exists in and runs through every living thing. There are many different names for this Universal life force. This Universal life force was recognized and used in ancient cultures’ healing practices, describing a mix of energies that shape, support and animate the human body. There are many names for these energy systems: in China it is called chi or qi, in India and Tibet it is prana, the Hebrews call it ruach, to the Lakota it is wakan, it is ki in Japan, and this permatin life force is known as the Holy Spirit to the Christians. Wallace Wattles, in The Science of Getting Rich called it a “thinking stuff”, which, when used with the power of mind, will reproduce the thoughts impressed upon it. (Which will be the subject of a whole new blog!) It is possible to move life force energy from one living being to another. Just as radio waves move from through the air carrying sound – even though they are invisible, and we can’t see them – energy can move through the energy healer’s hands to another energetic body. Everyone has the natural capacity to heal, and anyone can be an energy healer. Think for a moment – what is the first thing you do when you bang your elbow or your knee? You grab it with your other hand! It is instinctual for us to use our palms as a natural healing source. Thankfully, our culture is now rediscovering these ancient practices and exploring new options to revitalize their body’s energy systems. Holistic health practices such as massage, chiropractic care, and acupuncture are all commonly known and accepted in our culture as alternative methods of healing. It is now time for energy work to take its place within the sphere of accepted and sought after alternatives and compliments to traditional modern medicine. “Everything is energy, and that’s ALL there is…” ~ Albert Einstein. The Rising Sun Reiki Studio blog is a site for the Explorers, the Seekers, the Dreamers. It is for those who are aware of a global shift in consciousness, and feel the shift calling. What is my purpose in life? and What is my relationship to a higher power?
Let us begin with our mission statement: The Rising Sun Reiki Studio is a healing center, promoting holistic health and well-being through Reiki energy treatments, education and training. We invite all to be a part of the world-wide awareness of the benefits of natural, holistic, energy based healing practices. The Rising Sun Reiki Studio is a place of discovery. It is a holistic center for those who seek to understand their energy and embrace their natural capacity to heal. Reiki practitioners work with spiritually guided energy to balance the body’s energy systems, unblocking and clearing the energy meridians, chakras and aura so that the body can access its natural healing ability. The Rising Sun Reiki Center is also a place of learning, encouraging the curious to explore their divine nature and harness their invisible power. Whether one is facing a health challenge, or if one simply wants to maintain their energy balance and flow, the Rising Sun Reiki Studio is a place of divine discovery.
